Building a generation of women leaders who drive change in their families and communities
When Bhagabati Pathagar launched leadership workshops in Bolangir, women like Sunita hesitated to speak in front of men. Today, she leads her Self-Help Group, manages finances, and confidently negotiates with local officials. “I used to feel invisible. Now, I am the voice of my community,” she says with pride.
With financial literacy training, awareness of legal rights, and entrepreneurship guidance, hundreds of women have stepped into leadership roles. Elderly Self-Help Groups are now managing collective savings and starting micro-businesses, while young women explore agri-entrepreneurship and digital skills. The ripple effect is evident: families are more financially secure, girls are encouraged to study longer, and women are shaping village-level decisions.
